If your application can not access SAP DB
across a network you have to migrate your database to the new machine.
Install the SAP DB software on the new machine. If the new machine is running
the same operating system, use SAP DB's backup mechanism to migrate the data to
the new machine (Create a backup for migration on the old machine, create a
new database for restore on the new machine and restore this new instance from
the backup of the old database). Otherwise use SAP DB's replication Manager for
extracting the data from the original database and loading it into a newly
created database on the new
machine.
