has anybody an idea, howto get the SapDB working with the unixODBC Driver 
manager ?

This would be appreciated, to have OpenOffice/Linux/Unix Working against a 
SapDB.

The jdbc solution works, but looks not very resource saving and stable to 
me. Java is not a good idea, as long Linux Java SDK/JRE is threated like 
a unwanted child by SUN. This behavior make JAVA unusable to Linux 
systems.
