Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, you got it. I don't use SQLStudio at all, so I didn't have anything else handy to test with. But given the mix of both ODBC.NET and VBScript ODBC, both stalling at the same time, pretty much points to the driver. I will install SQL Studio and give that a try. To recap what is running on the client (web server) machine:
1. WSH VBScript + ODBC using ADO (loop agents doing replication) 2. Compiled dotNET console applications using ODBC.NET (loop agents doing selects) 3. Compiled dotNET web application using ODBC.NET All three stalled at the same time. Next time I'll also try using SQL Studio during the stall too.
