One of the biggest anti-sourceforge objectives is: Sorceforge is resided
in the US. I do not trust the US in matters of strong cryptography.
All porjects using strong cryptography are resided in Europe, Denmark, or
in Germany under the protection of the BMI. (german secretary of home
affairs).
We are here seriously thinking about connection encryption (extending the
'vserver' and conection profiling to ensure only granted clients may
connect (ACL), and ensuring the dataconnection is secure (SSL/SSH tunnel
integrated) to to avoiding tcp/ip-sniffing.). Also a compressed
communication channel would be appreciated also.
On the other hand there is the possibility given also to encrypt the
data/log partitions itself and using the user identification and a
additional asymetric key for accessing the data in the RDBMS.
With such plans the main source server should not reside in the US.
Just my ideas for you
