Hello Samuel, Thank you for the suggestion - I have never used SQLStudio, as I'm after only the SAPDB engine and do all my install and maintenance remote via DBMCLI command line.
Sure enough, I installed SQL studio and find it has a different ODBC driver. I also saw the installer put on "Microsoft ODBC CORE Components" - I hope that this install is downleveling components. After install, there are now TWO ODBC drivers: "SAP DB 7.3" - 7.03.00.00 - SQLOD32.DLL "SQLSTUDIOODBC" - 7.04.03.00 - SQLOD32.DLL The 7.3 driver I'm supposed to have installed is 7.03.0.28 - not sure why it says all 00.00 version. It was released just a couple weeks ago. The 7.04.03.00 driver is actually older going by the file date, August 6, 2002. More confused now :) Stephen -----Original Message----- From: Samuel Franklyn [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2002 3:47 AM To: Stephen Gutknecht (SAPDB); [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Win32 ODBC driver, any way to install driver twice on same system ? Have you already try SAPDB newest ODBC driver? The newest SAPDB ODBC Driver is included along SQL Studio. This is the newest driver since the version is 7.4.From my experience version 7.2 and 7.3 driver has problems with VS.NET but version 7.4 is problem free. _______________________________________________ sapdb.general mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.sap.com/mailman/listinfo/sapdb.general
