Here's the second patch. It does the same thing as the vin97.h patch, but there are apparently no files that depend on this function, since changing the definition of "printf" to "xprintf" doesn't cause any downstream compilation errors. Strange.
The problem I _thought_ I was having with it was really the many apparently independent problems in LVCSim_liveCacheSink.cpp. At first it looked as though changing gco10.h was causing some of the errors, but closer inspection showed that Per was getting the same errors I was. Mark Post
