Hi there,

Thanks but I tried that and when my machine restarts it still doesn't
start the database automatically. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

I have changed the RESTART_SHUTDOWN to AUTO now and I rebooted, I
checked before I rebooted that the change was correct. I rebooted and
waited but my database never came online so I went back into Database
manager and brought it online manually and checked the value of
RESTART_SHUTDOWN and it is set to True...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

ian

Hi Ian,
Just go to the configuration tab of the Instance
and click parameter. Change the value of
RESTART_SHUTDOWN to AUTO.

This should help.

Girish

Subject: When W2k boots my DB is always offline

Hi there,

When I reboot my Windows 2000 server pc and it
restarts the SapDB is always offline and I have to
goto Database Manager and bring online.

I was wondering if there is a setting somewhere
that says automatically bring online when Windows
starts or something similar?

Thanks in advance for any information

Ian
