Hi, we've been using SAPDB in production for web applications for over two years now, and have been very happy with the software and the excellent support on this list. it is normal and absolutely OK, that this type of support cannot guarantee that someone will deal with your specific problem in a specific time-frame or even deal with it at all. We have now for the first time run into a problem that has become rather critical and are essentially following a rather desperate trial-and-error approach because our production system is still unstable for no obvious reason. we were thinking of buying support for cases like this because we cannot help ourselves and with every database crash the customer gets more p***ed off.
Does anyone on this list have such a support contract and if so what were your experiences? it is worth it? I know it's a little awkward to ask this type of question on a list hosted by SAP but where else could I post it? I would like to reemphasize that the support on this list is excellent and this mail is in no way to be interpreted as criticizing SAP's free support.
