Hello,
I wanted to make a copy of an existing database, so I created a new
database, copying the parameters from the existing database. I backed up
the original database using a complete backup with Checkpoint to a file.
I logged into the new database with dbmgui as the dbm, and selected
"database" from the "recovery" tab. I selected the appropriate backup,
and started the restore. It stopped after a few seconds with the
messages:
-2008: Message not available.
Please correct the problem and repeat the action.
Log file is empty after initialize configuration.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong. Is the procedure I outlined above
appropriate for copying a database? (making a copy on the same server).
