What exactly is failing? - Is cvs.sap.com accessible? ping and traceroute seem to be disabled, but http://cvs.sap.com should show a dummy page - $ telnet cvs.sap.com 2401<enter> hello<enter> cvs [pserver aborted]: bad auth protocol start: hello Connection closed by foreign host. This would show that the cvs software is responding to requests. - cvs -d ... login I was able to connect to the server via a socket-over-HTTP-proxy (we're behind a firewall so we can't test cvs access directly).
