cannot drop user with views?

hi.
when trying to do a

drop user foo

i get an error

-108 POS(1) Table or index dropped or content deleted

this seems to be related to the fact that this user has some views defined.
dropping the views first resolves the problem, but in my opinion this is not the correct behaviour, is it?
(Documentation:
"If no cascade option or the cascade option CASCADE is specified, all the synonyms and tables of the user to be dropped, as well as all indexes, privileges, view tables, etc. based on these objects, are dropped.")

version is 7.3.0.25, user has usermode "resource"
