I'm new to SAP DB, so please forgive the dumb question.
We are migrating to the SAP database. We plan to store documents and perhaps web
pages as objects in SAP DB. We'd like to be able to do context searches on these
documents. Basically, we'd like to do a search the way one does through a search
engine like google.com. You would enter your criteria and we would perform a
theme-based search.
Oracle does this with the ctxcat index. Is there similar functionality in SAP DB? If
there is, could the functionality be expanded to include docs not in the database
(maybe in a pre-defined directory or server)? Oracle's UltraSearch has this
functionality.
