Could someone *PLEASE* turn off posting to the list for non-subscribers?
this might brake news.gmane.org which offers this list as a newsgroup.
While we are at it please have Reply-To: point to the list rather than
the poster, it is annoying to be able to read the questions, but not the
answers in the archive...
using news.gmane.org makes that very easy ... you just hit reply, and
your newsreader sends it to the list/newsgroup.
As far as I remember the reason for not doing that is to avoid "Out of
office" replies, but such automatic replies should never show up on the
list as all postings have the "Precedence: bulk" header, we havn't seen
any "out of office"-spam in a long while, so it seems that it's working
and is safe.
i would like to see more newsservers than mailing-lists.
