OS: SuSE v8.0
DB: SAPDB v7.3 (included on distro disks)
User knowledge of SAPDB: Novice
1) Installed using yast.
2) In yast, starting sapdb web server from runlevel editor for
1st time took control of console.
3) attempted to start the service using ./wahttp from it directory which
results in error:
./wahttp: error while loading shared libraries: libwahttp.so: cannot
open shared object file: no such file or directory
4) the file does exist at expected location.
5) an export entry for LD_LIBRARY_PATH exists in SuSE supplied
script /etc/rc.d/sapdb-web for the web lib directory. It was
incorrect so it was fixed to append to the library path.
6) ran above script after edit and web server started ok but took
control of console again...killed service using ctrl-alt-backspace.
7) manually exporting path to LD_LIBRARY_PATH var and attempted to run
wahttp but resulted in same error and service not starting.
Any guidance as to what to try would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Kev
