I've been playing around with SAPDB and I got it to install under AIX. I
had made a mistake with one of the directories (I misspelt it) and I
wanted to do a reinstall.
I proceded to remove the directory where I installed SAPDB.
When I reran SDBINST, I got the following error:
start package for release independent database software
-------------------------------------------------------
WRN: history path "/home/sapdb/indexp_data/config/install" not found
compareReleases(): file "/home/sapdb/index_prog/bin/x_server" not found
installation exited abnormally at Tu, Nov 26, 2002 at 11:41:29
writeHistory(): cannot create/open historyfile
"/home/sapdb/indexp_data/config/install/SAPDB_history"
"/home/sabdp/indexp_data" is the misspelt directory I was trying to
reinstall in order to fix.
It's someone trying to find my old install. How do I "reset" so I can
install? Where does SAPDB look to know there was a previous install? I
tried search for all sorts of files, include dot-files, but nothing.
