Hi all,

I would like to create a minimum installation of SAPDB - we just want to
use it for a few tables and do not intend to
install R/3 on it.

Using the Database Manager I only succeed if I set the data devspace to a
rather high value of 50 MB - I tuned all parameters given in
the wizard to their lowest values and set the log mode to DEMO.
I found some earlier mail in the archives quoting minimum values of 7-8 MB
but I do not succeed with those (-2008).

Coming from mysql I was actually expecting to get away with less than 1 MB
...

Is there some documentation which tells me where the actual limit for the
error (-2008) to not occur?

I am using version 7.3.0.0 and DB type set to OLTP.

Thanks for any help

Yours

p.s
-2008: Devspace too small

Explanation:
?It was not possible to restore a database, as the database that is to be
restored, is bigger than the
target database specified for the restore operation.
?The installation of a database is not possible, as not enough space was
defined for the storage of
the data.
User Action:
?Raise the target database's devspace size
?Raise the devspace size by 250 pages.
