Hello! I have just installed SAPDB 7.4.03 beta
on a Win2000 machine and on a RedHat 7.2 machine! On Linux I have installed the packages: - Version Independent Software - Sap
DB Server - Call
Inteterfaces - Web Tools - Sample
Database I have also started the database and
webtools. When using the web interface (installed on
the Linux box), I can access the database instances on my Windows machine. Although
I can’t access the instances Installed on
the localhost (Linux machine). In this case I get the error: “-4 database
or server not found” I have read on previous posts that I
could register the database through dbmcli: “inst_enum”
– gives the list of sapdb installations “inst_reg”
– registers one installation Although I am getting the following
error when I try to execute dbmcli on Linux without
arguments: “Error! Connection
failed to node (local) for database (no dbname):
database or server not found” I just can execute dbmcli correctly to connect to the test database. “./dbmcli -u DBM,DBM
-d TST74” On windows I can execute correctly dbmcli without arguments, and “inst_enum”
gives the list of sapdb installations (just “7.4.3.7”
on my case). Is the behavior of dbmcli correct on Linux? I don’t think so. Can any one help me? Can it be due
to the version of the database 7.4.03 Beta? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Victor
