Hello Fox,

for SQL Studio it is not necessary to install an ODBC
datasource or to register ODBC dlls manually. the Setup
does this automatically. It brings in its own odbc driver,
you don't have to install the driver from the separate
package (On the other hand , if you do, there should be
no conflicts.).

Probably you did not have sufficient user privileges
during setup.

Try to run the setup under an admin account. also
as admin, run SQL Studio one time and connect to the
db.

If problems persist, post the actual error messages you
get during setup and we'll see.

regards,

Subject: Instalation unde Windows XP

I have install ODBC73-SETUP under Windows XP. It was correctly but when i
try to instal SQLStudio74 it can't register some of dll in the system. I
look in the register (regedit) but there's no SAP DB driver entry in the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE|SOFTWARE|ODBC|ODBCINST.INI nor
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE|SOFTWARE|SAPAG.

How to install ODBC Driver under WinXP and how to configure datasource in
this system?
