I think you took the wrong path through the GUI.
You have to choose "installation with recovery" and not only "installation".

With a complete installation you created a new database instance which has an own 
identifier (db_ident).
This identifier is written to the log and to the data volumes.
If you recover the data backup from your old instance the data volumes have the old 
identifier
but this does not match the new identifier of the log volume. (This is shown in the 
knldiag.)
