I think it's both. My opinion is based on the experiences i had.I'm not a big freind of the ADO-Stuff. SAPDB doesn't even have an ADODB-Provider, so you're using the ODBC-Bridge which might produce more errors than you think. Is this your EXPERIENCE or your OPINION? I'm working with Access/SAPDB an have encountered far less problems compared to Access/MySQL.
I worked with ADODB and was using Access ODBC-Driver. I had troubles until somebody told be to switch to a different connection-string that used the OLEDB-Provider as i know now.
Of course you can use ADO and it's ODBC bridge, but i think it's far more unstable than using ODBC directly.
And yes: it's nothing objective, it's far away from that, but it's my personal recommendation.
It's also no shame for SAPDB to have no OLEDB-Provider as long as the ODBC-Driver work as well as it currently does.
