Hi ! You cannot directly compare databases instances in SAPDB or Oracle (optimized for few very large scale databases on a host with several to hundreds of GB space) to database instances of systems optimized for alot of small scale databases on one host (i.e. on webservers) like MySQL.
One MySQL installation with hundreds of databases would probably best be done in SAPDB with one installation and one large database with hundreds of database users. Each user "sees" by default only to his own tables in the database and can additionally be granted access to other users tables if necessary. Still I think SAPDB is not optimized for small databases with only a few MB of data. In the past it was mainly used to host large scale (starting at several GB data) SAP applications, like R/3, and all performance and safety optimizations were probably done with this usage in mind.
