Hi. Windows 2000 SP3 scratch system.
"For fun," I stopped all services and did a install/upgrade to final 7.4... the code upgrade went find. But then my database instance would not start after upgrade. Got the "-24988,ERR_SQL: sql error ** -8888,connection broken" that was reported by Ray Harrison [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] in November. That is what I get for attempting upgrade without following procedure. So, now I'm RTFM... reading the instructions ============================= The migration guide is here: http://www.sapdb.org/7.4/pdf/migration73_74eng.pdf Is this saying that the only way is to do a "side by side" install (have both 7.3 and 7.4 on hard drive at same time)? If so, will only one instance of database be warm at a time? I am worried about RAM requirements (I have nearly 2GB dedicated to sapdb datacache). Thanks.
