For two BPM (Business Process Management) projects it's relevant to periodically extract live data from SAP. Periodically in this context means every minute. This data then will be converted to XML files and used as content for a digital dashboard.
Which (standard) options are available to extract data from a SAP environment? Or can the data be directly extracted via SQL from its databases? In one case SAP runs on UNIX in combination with Oracle and in the other case SAP runs on AS/400 in combination with DB/2.
