You are not alone as I too am in the process of switching to sapdb as our
enterprise database. I have it on good authority that you can use the dts
feature in mssql enterprise manager and sapdb's odbc to transfer data. You
will need to tweak your schema, datatypes, stored procs and triggers but I
think this would be the case with switching to any db...So forge ahead and
give it a whirl, you have nothing to lose and about $15k every 2 years to
gain.

As always, good luck.

Subject: Migration to SAPDB from MSSQL

Hello listusers,

as we plan to migrate our current 46C on MSSQL to mySAP.com on SAPDB i'd
like to know if someone already walked through this. BTW hardware will
be changed, too...
I know there is a lot of things to do, but i wonder if there was no
other installation which already has been migrated like this?
Is there any known "documentation" out there? Beside those concerning a
heterogenous copy written by SAP?
I keep on searching sapnet and google and find a lot of information but
i rather had some "success stories" of real people.

Thanks for reading and replying,

Martin Wedlich
