There exists a sapdb module for Linux Failsafe (http://oss.sgi.com/projects/failsafe/). The current high availability support works by keeping the devspaces on shared disks and restarting the second database in case of a failure. The cluster support for Windows simply plugs into the operating system to get notified in case of a failure, so it won't be of much help for Linux/Unix. There is currently some work done on a version of SAP DB that constantly mirrors all transactions to the second database, thus reducing the restart time.
