we are trying to get our java application run on SAPDB.
During the first tests we discovered, that JDBC driver does not support a function called LOCATE.
This function searches simply for a string in another string and returns the position.
Does anybody have some suggestions or workarounds?
Help and hints appreciated

PS: Searching the SQL Reference showed, that there is no support for this type search functionality in the db. Is this true?
