I finally managed to upgrad from 7.3 to 7.4 on Linux and would like to report something that might be a bug.
After the update, my web application (JSP - Tomcat 3.3) produced the following Exeption with the sapdbc.jar that was installed by the SDBUPD.
Exception:setPropertyValues:invoke: argument type mismatch Method: public void org.isl.app.viewer.Model.DatabaseLayer.UserGroup.setObjectID(int) Param:0 :class java.math.BigDecimal
With the JDBC driver that I downloaded from the ftp server, this error does not occur!
Apart from that, SAPDB 7.4 runs very smoothly. Even the Perl interface does not show any problems. Unlike mentioned at http://sapdb.2scale.net/moin.cgi/PerlDbiDbdOdbc my data and catalog cache hitrate is constantly at 98-99 percent.
SAP-DB kernel 7.4.3 build 10 DBI 1.32 DBD::ODBC 1.01 unixODBC 2.2.3
Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone for answering all my questions.
