You can download a version of SAPDB 7.3.0.29 from  http://www.sapdb.org/sap_db_73.htm  
and it works fine under Solaris 7 and it is already built.
The patches I have installed are 107081-50,  107656-10,  107702-09,  108374-07 and 
108376-41, but I installed them before I installed SAPDB and they were requested by 
the OpenOffice installation. That version of sapdb didn't ask me to install any more 
patches at all.
