You reported a problem using DBMGUI, so I said how to do it with DBMGUI. If you have a 
script and that is working, just use it.

No, in the case of setting back a database in time you can restore an old data backup 
and restore log until the needed point in time. But in your last post, you tried to 
migrate a database A to another already existing database B. Thus you have to get rid 
of the old database B, as it does not match
the data and log of database A. And you have to do it explicitly (e.g. by reinstalling 
B with DBMGUI for a restore), because you lose the information of database B.

Because that is not wanted in the most common restore case, where you are just trying 
to restore your database to the last moment before your disastrous hardware crash. I 
this case you are happy about every log information that you still have.
