Hi,

after the update from 7.3 to 7.4 I also have an instance type 'test':

TEST /usr/sapdb/depend 7.4.3.10 fast running
TEST /usr/sapdb/depend 7.4.3.10 slow offline
TEST /usr/sapdb/depend 0.0.0.0 test unknown
TEST /usr/sapdb/depend 7.4.3.10 quick offline

Is this supposed to exist? What is it for?

Thanks,
Arne

Hi, what are the differences between the 3 Kernel Types (Fast, Quick, Slow), and for what purpose are the used ?

FAST ist the only one which should be used.
Quick/Slow are used only in case of bugs which can only be reproduced
at the customers site and include some more checks and possibilities
to output things interesting for developers, but make the kernel
MUCH slower than the fast one
--> DO NOT USER slow/quick if not asked to do so by SAP Labs Berlin-people.
