Hi,

The demo DB script doesn't actually make any tables, just an empty
database with a login. You can make some tables from SQL studio by
right-clicking on the left pane and selecting "new table". Put the fields
you want into the form, and hit the "!" button to create it. After this,
right-click on the left pan again and select "refresh".

Of course it will only show tables that exist, so if there aren't any
tables, it won't show any.

Hope this helps.

Thank you,

Subject: Table list in SQL Studio

The table list in the navigation pane in SQL Studio is always empty for
me.
In fact, every item in the navigation pane except for "Owned Users" is
always empty.

I was following the "Administration and Monitoring of SAP DB Version 7.4"
tutorial but noticed that at the point where I should be seeing a list of
tables in SQL Studio there aren't any. I also tried the
"create_demo_db.cmd" from the depend\misc dir with the same result. SQL
queries entered into the SQL Dialog seem to work.

I'm running the db and SQL Studio from the same WindowsXP machine (the SQL
Studio titlebar says [DBA,MYDB,Local Host])
I installed the db from sapdb-all-win-32bin-i386-7_4_3_17.zip, and
sqlstudio from the sqlstudio74-setup.exe dated 07/11/2002.

Thanks for any hints you can offer. I saw similar questions in the
archives, but none of them seemed to be my problem.
