Elke, Thank you for the reply. However, I feel as though I could have asked a more direct question. I'll try again: Can sapdb participate in a distributed transaction as managed by the JBoss J2EE application server? I wanted to be clear about my needs in the event that I was confusing intrinsic support for distributed transactions and the ability of sapdb to participate in a distributed transaction managed by another transaction manager. Furthermore, the JDBC page lists full support for JDBC 2.0 standard and optional APIs and full support for JDBC 3.0 when running on JDK 1.4.x. Do such statements conflict with your previous answer? In other words, why list support for javax.sql.XADataSource if sapdb doesn't support distributed transactions or may not be able to participate in them?
Thank you very much for your help, Craig _______________________________________________ sapdb.general mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.sap.com/mailman/listinfo/sapdb.general
