I agree with you. Even if SAPDB is a fine RDBMS, it will be the same error
of Borland about Interbase then Firebird. It take about 2.5 years (since
middle 2000) to FireBird to taken be general public seriusly, even if has
its root on robust commercial product: Interbase.

I can offer help when it is system related. I have few years in system
programming. Though my suggestion to all of you would be, even though this
database is cool to use and very competitive, that if one can't use SAP's
name, it becomes another firebird, which companies like IBM ran run all
over. The better choice would be to let the boss of SAP know what for a
stupid decision he is making and that he may need some reeducation to the
fact of looking at his customers.

Otherwise, let me know where i can help. I would like to see the db under
a LGPL rule where i can build commercial interfaces to it.
