It's also my understanding that the MySQL license is more restrictive than
the GPL alone, because the MySQL license covers internal distribution as well
as external distribution.

I don't see anything illegal or immoral about the MySQL license, but it's one
of the reasons why I refuse to jump on their bandwagon (along with the
technical inferiority of their RDBMS, and the blatant distortions that issue
forth from their marketing department).

I don't trust MySQL AB.  What do you suppose will happen when their database
products have grown to dominate the low to mid range of the market, when
millions of commercial users have written millions of applications dependent
on MySQL?  Will their prices remain reasonable, or will there be a sudden,
dramatic price hike once MySQL has enough users on the hook?
