Hi,
No, but SAPDB is owned still by SAP, they have right to do what they like,
including allowing MySQL to release it under whatever license they want.
According to the email from earlier today, SAP will retain the rights, so
they could possibly revoke the MySQL agreement at a later time. The
existing code that is released as GPL or LGPL can be used to make GPL or
LGPL software, but with SAP's permission, MySQL can change the license
however they like when they release changed versions of the code. (And
most people are worried about the LGPL, not the GPL going away). As far
as I know, nobody outside of SAP has made a significant code contribution
to SAPDB (if they had, they could block it from being used).
Thank you,

So what's about SAPDB. It was released under GPL, so it should stay GPL
licensed. It's not his code, isn't it???
