Hi Zak! I'll for shure join such a meeting. This might be a great opportunity for the communities (both SAP DB and MySQL) to get a better Idea where things are possibly moving, what to expect and maybe what to contribute, and on the other hand for MySQL to get an Idea what users expect from the cooperation between SAP and MySQL and from the enterprise-level database to be developed by MySQL.
Last but not least, personally I hope to get a chance to say hello to some of the SAP people who are all doing their best to help the community in using and implementing SAP DB. One of the MySQL community members has suggested that we hold a meeting where we can meet to discuss the issues around this project. I know that this is difficult to do with how spread out all of our communities are. However, I am considering that Germany may be the best location for this. SAP DB has a good number of German and European users who might be able to attend, and both SAP and MySQL have developers in Germany. Perhaps we could schedule the meeting on the last days of LinuxTag (July 10 - 13) in Karlsruhe. Another meeting opportunity is after the VLDB conference in Berlin (September 9 - 12) - this might be a good time for followup? Cheers! --zak _______________________________________________ sapdb.general mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.sap.com/mailman/listinfo/sapdb.general _______________________________________________ sapdb.general mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.sap.com/mailman/listinfo/sapdb.general
