I installed the SAP db in directory c:\programme\sapdb. It�s the version 7.4.3.10. Now i want to update the kernel to version 7.4.3.17. Is it the correct way, if I install this version in the existing directory?? Can anybody help me?? Or must I uninstall sap db first and than installing the new version??
- backup the database (just to be sure) - Stop the database (dbmcli ... db_offline or using the GUI), - stop the xserver (net stop xserver) - install the new version into the same directory - start the xserver (net start xserver) - start the database (dbmcli ... db_online)
