while upgrading our System to SuSE 8.2 (before SuSE8.0) we are running into a big Problem.
It may be that the Problem is ICP or SuSE related. But of course somebody of you have an idea to fix the problem,
Controller ICP GDT8523 Ultra 160 Datadev is on a Raid1 2 9GB ibm drives
I'm initializing the datebase with a changed create_demo_db.sh.
param_adddevspace 1 DATA /dev/raw/raw1 R 900000 owner of raw dev was changed to $SAPDB_USER Each time i'm trying to initialize the Database the System will hang. No other chance, as to switch off the machine.
When binding the device as normal device with reiserfs, everything works fine. param_adddevspace 1 DATA /ada/$SID F 900000
