errorcode: -24988
description: sql error [load_systab ...]

You said: upgrade.

yeah, what's wrong with it? in DBMGUI it is called "Upgrade System Tables".

Which kernel-version was used, when creating the database?
Was the parameter _UNICODE changed ex- or implicitly?

i had installed SAPDB 7.4.3.17 before, and i upgraded to 7.4.3.24. i think the DB was created with 7.4.3.7beta.

Usually with err -24988 one can find another error number,
i.e. the real kernel-sql-error-number, which is of more interest
in that case?

i don't know where i should find that sql-error-number.

What does the file loader.prt, usually created during load_systab
tell you in the end?

there is such a file in the "wrk"-directory but it is old :-( it doesn't seem that load_systab even starts.

i deleted the loader.prt, but it isn't recreate when i try load_systab again.
