Hi

Having just discovered SAP DB I downloaded it last week and started playing with it at the weekend. I am trying it out on Windows XP.

After a struggle I managed to get it up and running and a database created so I tried to follow the Admin Tutorial.

I followed the instructions to create the test database  I created a directory WR12D1W3 and place all the scripts & batch files in it then
ran
load1 MYDB

however it does not complete the load_BKPF.cmd and leaves the following error after the DATALOAD command in the loader.prt file

// *
// E -25281: Syntax error at position 1 (Unexpected token: -).
// M Releasing user connection (USER: 'TEST').
// *

Any ideas

Unfortuneatly I am coming to SAP DB from MySQL and Interbase so I am sure I will have more questions soon as I see a lot of things in the documentation that I don't recognised.

Cheers
