It is true, that version 7.5 will receive a name ...MySQL... (not known so far). It is true that the tools mentioned and administrator function will be the same. It is true that functionality will not be restricted, in some cases extended, it has to be decided. BUT, not everything will be the same: The licencing model will change starting with version 7.5 (or how it will be numbered when rebranded) because it will be the licencing model of MySQL. The support will not be done with THIS mailing list, AFAIK with some mailing-list/support from MySQL.
