That is not what I need, I just look for the utility that lets me shutdown/restart the Database from a batch file [0] and if the data files can be backed up and restored savely if the database engine is not running. I have already set up a database on the server, the tutorial has been a great help. > > Good luck Thanks ;-) Nikolaus Wagner [0] read: NO GUI whatsoever, just like the picture in the "Sap DB: Reducing TCO for Data Management" paper: the database is just a black box with an on/off switch (two icons leading to two batch files) and people who want to restore the database just have to know a) where to find the "on/off switch" icons b) about the file backup program I intend to install/tune/configure everything using GUI/CLI/documentation and then leave the Database to a company with people who don't really care how it works as long as it works and bug me if it doesnt work. _______________________________________________ sapdb.general mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listserv.sap.com/mailman/listinfo/sapdb.general
