2. The ODBC driver download on the web site always has the same filename. the "Full version" is not encoded in the filename like it is for other SAPDB downloads. There is a chance that a caching server will deliver the old one, and it is also confusing.
Little "workaround":
You can right click on the InstallShield EXE and chose properties -> version. The file version at the top (2.11.15.0) seems to be the IS version. But the file version in the bottom list (7.4.3.27) shows the version of the component to be installed.
After downloading I always immediately rename the files (e.g. odbc74-setup-7_4_3_27.exe).
But having the version directly in the download file name would be less confusing...
