Hi Marcin,
Have you upgraded SAP DB recently? If this is the case, you should take a full
database backup, then it'll appear the correct text for the backup history in the file
you mentioned and you have to fix old text in it with the correct one.

Subject: Backup history file is corrupted

Hi!
I have another problem with SAP DB 7.3.0.29.
My instance is working for almost two years ( few
upgrades in the meantime).
When I try to get the list from backup history in DBM GUI I receive
the following error:
-24894 the backup history file is corrupted [backup_history_open]

But, when I go to my server and open dbm.knl file I can see all
the current information - what means that writing to this file propably
works well.

Could anyone have any experience with corrupted history files?
Is there a way to recreate this file?

Thanks,

Marcin
