Hi Gerd,
extracted from SAP DB documentation:
-2008: Volume size too small
Explanation:
It was not possible to restore a database, as the database that is to be
restored, is bigger than the target database specified for the restore
operation.
The installation of a database is not possible, as not enough space was
defined for the storage of the data.
User Action:
Increase the volume of the target database.
Increase it to a value that is greater than 250 pages.
please check that your destination system's data volume(s) is/are big
enough for restoring the DB
Regards Klaus

Hi,
I want to restore a database out of a complete backup on a different
linux machine. We did this several times, but now on a new installed
system the recovery fails with:
ERR
-24988,ERR_SQL: sql error
-2008,Message not available
the knldiag says:
ERR 52012 RESTORE error occured, basis_err 3310
what does this mean ??
I appended the complete knldiag.
thanks in advance ..:GERD:..(See attached file: knldiag.zip)
