see ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapdb/misc/instdb.py. It is still lacking the code to start with a DATA backup and to switch on AUTOSAVE LOG by default. But it handles various versions of SAP DB gracefully.


Execute it with <dependent_path>/bin/x_python.
