Hello
Jeff,
as SAP customer I
recommend to you opening a OSS message for your configuration problems. To avoid
stopping your productive system, how about setting up a small OLTP database with
DBMGUI and testing with it until you resolved all the problems. Feel free to
send your configuration files and dbm.ebp to this list.
Best

From: Jeff Dunlop [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, August 15, 2003 5:39 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: using backint with SAPDB (liveCache) on AIX. We have APO 3.0 with
liveCache 7.4.2 Build 20 running.
I am trying to setup
liveCache to backup vi backint to tape (using pipes).
does anyone have
good example scripts for AIX (or other Unix) ?
I have tried
creating the SAPDB parameter file and bsi.env file based on the documentation on
www.sapdb.org and I just got an error
"Invalid Key" for the STAGING AREA parameter in the SAPDB parameter
file.
The problem is every
time you test and get an error it looks up the Util Session and than I have to
do a db_stop to release it.
Any help would be
great. Our production liveCache is getting to the size that it is to big
to backup to disk....
