Hello,

We had a problem with one of our databases and had to recover it by
means of a complete backup. After the recovery, we can't insert any
records in the tables with a serial column, because we keep getting the
following error:

SAP DBTech SQL: [200] Duplicate key

>From a previous message to the list
(http://listserv.sap.com/pipermail/sapdb.general/2001-November/009163.ht
ml) we have discovered that there was a bug but that was long ago and
should have been corrected by kernel v7.3.0.18. The behaviour we have
detected is exactly the same as the one described in that message (we
can insert records after explicitely inserting a record with the serial
column valued to the next unused integer), but we are using kernel
v7.4.3.17!. Has this bug been reintroduced at some point?

TIA,

Aitor
