Hi,

I'm trying to use DBdesigner 4 on Linux with SAPDB 7.4.

I defined a data source for my database with unixODBC which works. I can
connect to the DB with the DataManager and I see the tables. So, the ODBC
connection should work.

Now, when I try to use this ODBC connection from DBdesigner (menu item
"Connect to Database") I get the error message:

        Connection to database failed.

        Unable to find procedure getSQLDriverODBC

In the connection definition dialog there's a field "GetDriverFunc" which has
the default value "getSQLDriverODBC". Where does it look for this function?
In the ODBC driver of SAPDB? Or is it a function of unixODBC? For the field
"Vendor Lib" I specified the path to libsqlod.so. Is that correct or must
this be a lib of unixODBC?

I hope anyone did manage to connect to SAPDB with DBdesigner and will help me
to do so, too.

Thanks in advance,
Ralf.
