Hello,

I don't share the opinion, that there are "no real conclusive answers."
I'm running a SAPDB 7.4.3.25 on RH9 Box. The only thing that I had to do was
to make a 'export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5'.
This was described in some earlier postings too. I put this line into
/etc/profile together with some "path-extensions".
Here are the lines I added to my profile-file:

export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
export SAPDBROOT=/path/to/sapdb/depend7.4.03.25
export CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:$SAPDBROOT/misc/sapdbc.jar:.
export PERL5LIB=$PERL5LIB:$SAPDBROOT/misc
export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:$SAPDBROOT/misc

After this everything worked und still works fine.

Peter
